The Living MouseTrap

A new species of flesh-eating plant was discovered by Scientists – the Nepenthes attenboroughii - a plant so large that it can devour and swallow rats whole. They are trapped into its slippery mouth, allowing them to drown or die of exhaustion before slowly being dissolved by digestive enzymes. The plant belongs to the ‘pitcher’ family and it can grow more than 4 feet long. It is so large that it can catch big preys such as mice and rats.
