Ternyata Allah Memanggil Kita Hanya 3x Saja seumur Hidup

Allah Memanggil Kita Hanya 3 Kali Saja Seumur Hidup.....

Ibuku berkata... * Allah hanya memanggil kita 3 kali saja seumur hidup*

Keningku berkerut.... ....'Sedikit sekali Allah memanggil kita..?'

Ibu tersenyum. 'Iya, tahu tidak apa saja 3 panggilan itu..?' Saya menggelengkan kepala.

Mata saya semakin berkaca-kaca.

Hati-hati menghayal

Suatu hari, fikiran saya terhenti sejenak.

Galeri Numismatik

If you're Malaysia coin and banknote collector, Sasana Kijang Bank Negara is a must visit place for you. They have a large numismatic collection of Malaysia coinage in their Galeri Numismatik (Numismatic Gallery). I had been waiting for the BNM money museum visit since early this year. It took me over 2 long hours to browse at all coins and banknotes collection that they have. That 2 long hours not enough since I actually missed on some of the collections on display by mistake. I will most probably go there again. Currently, they're less people coming to the Sasana Kijang. It helps me to look at all the collections without any interruption.

The "Galeri Numismatik" is located on the second floor of the visitor building. The gallery is a little bit dark maybe to conserve daily energy used and to help you look at the collections better. You will be greeted by BNM Barter Trade game once you enter the starting gate. Its need two persons to play the game and it teach you how hard it is to do barter trade instead of exchange money. Nobody in the gallery during my visit that day. I try to play the game alone but I then realized this is not what I am coming for.

They display their collections according to the earliest coinage in Malaysia history. You get to see the vast collection of early Malay coinage from Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Perak, Melaka and also Sabah (British North Borneo) & Sarawak coins. Most of their Malay Sultanate collection are something that I never seen before in my life. You also get to see The famous Kelantan Gold Kupang, the kijang coin which is used as a BNM logo. The BNM logo idea suggested by the late Malaysia Bank governor Tun Ismail Mohd. Ali.

What I don't understand about the gallery viewing is the purpose of the coin slide on the wall. For me who like coin collection, the slide is just a distraction when it move while I look at the actual coin. Maybe I will suggest a few ideas on how to improve the numismatic viewing experience in your gallery BNM? Will write about it later.

In the gallery, you also get to see almost complete set of Malaysia commemorative coins collection since 1967 and the latest. All the coins are display on a wall but I think they're some problem viewing them for the coins on the lower wall. You need to crouch to look at the coins. It will be helpful if BNM can arrange them according to human standing eyes level. But maybe they have a kids on their mind when they're preparing the Malaysia coins commemorative wall.

You also get to see all Malaysia banknote designs and variety in this gallery, from RM1 notes until the obsolete RM1000 notes. Most of the notes are just specimen notes. I were hoping to see the Malaysia 1st series A1 bankotes but they don't display it in here. You can also see some pattern notes of Malaya & British Borneo and also Malaysia. Some of the design is far much better then the current Malaysia banknotes. They're also Tun Ismail Mohd. Ali signature plate on display and an old RM100 notes that had been signed & approved by Malaysia Finance Minister.

If you like numismatic, 2 hours not enough for you to visit and look at all the collections in here. A Facebook friend of mine had gone to the Numismatic gallery almost all days since its opening. A highly recommended place for Malaysia coin and banknote collector. Rumours about the new gallery as one with largest currency collection is not true though but it do have almost complete collection of Malaysia coinage history.

For more pictures of the new BNM money museum, you can visit my Facebook album; Sasana Kijang-2nd Floor-Galeri Numismatik.

Mencintai Kamu

M3L "Mengeluh Mengungkit Masa Lalu"

- Perempuan Lain
Kenapa sekarang dipersoalkan lagi?” Echa, 25, Menikah, EO.

- Telat
Biasanya dia selalu berusaha on time saat janjian. Suatu kali karena alasan tertentu, dia terlambat satu jam. Anda pasti bete.

Setelah menikah, dia masih

GOLD to go China

GOLD to go China has been installed recently in a busy shopping district in Beijing. GOLD to go is a gold vending machine produce by a German company, Ex Oriente Lux AG. The exterior of the machine is coated with a thin layer of gold and offers customers 320 items to choose from, ranging from 24-carat gold bars weighing 1, 5, and 10 grams as well as gold coins from Canada, Australia, and South Africa. Each comes in a gift box. Shoppers in the popular Wangfujing Street can insert cash or use a bank card to withdraw gold bars or coins of various weights based on market prices, the People's Daily said on its website. Each withdrawal is capped at 2.5 kilograms (5.5 pounds) or one million yuan (about $156,500) worth of gold, the report said.

China gold vending machine

Gold vending machines already exist in Britain, the United States, the Middle East and Europe.
The machine was launched Saturday by the Beijing Agricultural Commercial Bank and a gold trading company, the report said. They plan to install an unspecified number of machines in secure locations such as gold shops and upmarket private clubs.

Gold is often used as a hedge against inflation and the machines could prove popular among Chinese consumers looking for a convenient way to safeguard their cash amid rising prices.
Chinese consumer demand for gold soared 27 percent year-on-year to 579.5 tonnes in 2010, according to the World Gold Council. China is the world's second largest bullion consumer after India.

China Daily reported that the ATM dispensing gold bars and coins was switched on this weekend and then swiftly switched back off again. The vending machine shut down the same day because it was not producing receipts. No specific date when the ATM machine will be running again by Gongmei Gold Trading, the gold ATM Operator in China.

In the future, will this vending machine be available in Malaysia?

Angel’s Diary Photos

Angel’s Diary is the only Indonesian soap opera that I like. Especially on its firstly episodes. You can see that this soap opera has different approach in taking the scenes. Love it very much. Take a look at these Angel’s Diary photos below. I took these photos using my TV tuner.
Who is that girl acting as the main character? She is Angelica Faustina. Beautiful, isn’t she? She was born in Australia. Her parents asked her to move back to Indonesia since they thought that Australia is just too free for a girl like Angelica Faustina to grow up.
Faustina. Ring a bell? Don’t know why, but I’m thinking of Dr. Faust now. Hehe…

Sasana Kijang Bank Negara

I visited Sasana Kijang Bank Negara on the same day as the Malaysia Numismatic Auction no.149 on 25 September 2011. Sasana Kijang located at Jalan Dato Onn, Kuala Lumpur, just beside Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) headquarters. For address, maps and complete information about its location, you can read my post; Sasana Kijang location. This post is a series of posts about the new BNM building. Thank you to BNM for their generosity on providing information relating to numismatic with the new Numismatic gallery. In my visit that day only a small crowd are coming to visit that museum. Maybe because not many people know about the new place.

When I drive to Sasana Kijang, I don't see any road signboard that can provide information for that place location. It will be hard for people who don't really familiar with Kuala Lumpur road but the easy way is to find Memorial Tun Hussien Onn, the building is just beside that memorial. If you parked on LG4, the lifts will bring you straight to lobby. The lift to the visiting floors a little bit weird for me. I can only see the letter "G" and only realized that it is a lift when I saw people coming out from that thing. They're four floor for visitor but currently the first floor still not finish yet.

On the Ground Floor, you can find Cafe and Gift Shop. This is the last place I visit that day but a must visit for every visitor. The cafe look exclusive but the food price are cheaper then 3 star hotel with a 5 star hotel food. The sardine curry puff in the picture make me want to visit Sasana Kijang again. On that day, I buy this curry puff twice for take away because of the delicious taste that I cannot find in other place. The price is only RM2 a piece. When you visit this place, Please don't forget try eating in their cafe. Thank you for the cheap but delicious food BNM.

In the gift shop, you can buy gift related to numismatic and also T-Shirt, Necklaces, bracelets, bookmark. You also get to view gold leaf banknotes on display in the shop. Some of the Numismatic item you can buy include Malaysia new 3rd series coins commemorative folder, Malaysia 2nd series coins, Sukan Komanwel 98 commemorative banknote, "Malaysia Numismatic Heritage" book and "Kedah & Perlis Currency Heritage" book. They're also some books related to painting/batik and painting collection of BNM. I suggest this shop sell Steven Tan catalog in the future, to help non collector buying books related to Malaysia numismatic.

Malaysia Numismatic Society auction 149

Yesterday, Malaysia Numismatic Society (MNS) held an auction at Jabatan Muzium Malaysia, Malaysia National Museum, Kuala Lumpur. The Malaysia Numismatic Society auction 149 is not a crowded one, less people coming maybe because of the recent Hari Raya Celebration. I came early at 8.40 am because last time when I came at 9.00 am, most of the item on sale at the bourse tables are already gone. This time, I can only see 6 sellers joining the bourse tables with most of them are selling Malaysia banknote. They bring a very nice collection but with a high price though. This is the first time I am not buying anything on the auction day.

The viewing item start at around 9.30 am. All members got to view the auction but not allowed to touch the coins or notes. Some of the MNS committee act as a security preventing members from damaging the items. Most crowd are more interested on item no. 59, Malaysia 1 sen 1976 copper Brilliant Uncirculated. The recent Mavin International Auction, Singapore on 16 July 2011, 1 sen 1976 copper has been closed at a high price, SGD1,400 (excluding tax and commision). Many members want to know if the same item can get a higher price in MNS Auction compare to the Mavin auction. Steven Tan catalog reported only 100 pieces of this coin exist.

MNS auction banknote

The auction start at 10.25am with MNS president Mr. Thenakaran Nadarajah himself as a auctioneer. Mr. Lawrence De Souza act as a bidder for mail bidders. There are only around 30 members of the society who participated in the bidding process. Most of the items on auction come home without any bidder, although Mr. Thena asked members few times if they want to bid for the items. Most of the item reserve price are below the market price. When the time come for item no.59, many members join the bidding. process(Saran Singh, Dickson Niew etc). Its like a battle for the 1976 1 sen copper. In the end, a bidder won the coin at RM3600. A little bit lower then everyone expected (RM4000).

1 sen copper 1976

Its a fun auction day for all MNS members. Some of my Facebook friends won their auction at reserve price, congratulations to them. If you remember about that two little kids that I had been talking in the last MNS auction no. 143, they're still coming and joining this auction. Hopefully more younger generation will keep on joining coin collecting as a hobbies. The MNS Auction participant has been decreasing each time, some changes has to be done if MNS want their auction to be popular again. You can read my old posts about these matter.
