One-of-a-kind Penguin

Look at this photo, see a rare penguin showing off his all-black coat!

King Penguins are notorious for their prim, tuxedoed appearance -- but a recently discovered all-black penguin seems unafraid to defy convention. In what has been described as a "one in a zillion kind of mutation," biologists say that the animal has lost control of its pigmentation, an occurrence that is extremely rare. Other than the penguin's monochromatic outfit, the animal appears to be perfectly healthy -- and then some. "Look at the size of those legs," said one scientist, "It's an absolute monster."

Horse Allergic to Grass????

Pandora all covered up with her protective clothing

This is I guess the oddest news I have ever heard of - A horse having an allergy to grass??? What the?

Meet Pandora, a 5-year-old thoroughbred horse which is kept all covered up because she is allergic to grass. Yes, she has a rare condition by which, even a single grass blade touching her coat will be enough to leave her gasping for breath and covered in large, painful boils. Though Pandora's case is obscure, this is a no laughing matter.

Her owner, Emily Pearce, has no option but to cover her up with a protective layer of high-tech polyester-based breathable fabric to avoid having to lock her away for her own safety.

She also wears a mask to protect her eyes. She is fed a special mixture of sugarbeet chaff and soya oil, along with 15 anti-histamine tablets a day.
Even her eyes are covered too

Cow Urine Cola???

Sorry to say this, but the idea of drinking Cow’s urine is ABSURD!

In New Delhi, India, where cows are sacred, an organization says that drinking cow urine can heal. The Cow Protection Department of the Rashtriya Swayammsevak Sangh (RSS) is even planning to make a Cow Urine Cola, which they claim have curative properties.
"It has been established that cow urine is capable of curing even cancer, so imagine a drink which would not only be tasty but also healthy," Om Prakash, leader of RSS, told ABC News.
Experts find this claim illogical. There is no scientific basis behind cow urine’s healing properties. This is an empty claim according to Dr. Sam Epstein, emeritus professor and occupational medicine at the University Of Illinois Chicago School Of Public Health.

'UNICORN ' Deer

The myth about 'Unicorns' must've rooted from this kind of animal anomaly or genetic flaw. The photo above reveals a single-horned deer that was found in a reserve park in Rome, Italy. Looking at it will surely give you a glimpse of the much fabled, mythical Unicorn. But, scientifically speaking, it's a kind of genetic flaw or should we say a factory defect caused while it is still in its developmental stage or it could also be the result of a trauma in the animal's early life.

This one-year old deer was nicknamed 'Unicorn' and was said to be born in captivity in the research center's park in the Tuscan town of Prato, near Florence, Tozzi. Experts said that single-horned deers are rare but not unheard of, most especially the central positioning of the horn. Commonly, anomalies like this may cause the horn to grow just on one side rather being at the center. So, since Unicorn's horn is positioned exactly at the center portion of its head, its case is said to be complex.
