Total SoLar Eclipse (on Aug.1)

For eclipse enthusiasts out there, mark August 1, Friday as your date with the sun. On this day, the sun will be partially eclipsed over a huge area that ranges from western Central Asia, some areas in Northern and Central Europe, the entire Greenland, and to a small area in North America. The phenomena will be a total solar eclipse. So far, this would be the first in nearly two and a half years. The total path of this upcoming eclipse is not more than 157 miles or 252 km. wide.

In this phenomena, the sun will look like a diamond ring as the moon passes over during the entire phase. So get ready to catch this rare occurrence. But don't miss to put some protection on your eyes during the partial phases as this can be dangerous.

Remember August 1 and enjoy the sighting. :)
